Since I have inserted this pair of repellers in my yard, I can now stop stressing about what is eating my plants.
We have a large lawn, measuring approx. 50 metres by 15 metres. Until three years ago we were constantly plagued with moles, often waking up in the morning to find 20 or 30 hills scattered around the garden. We purchased one of these after several other attempts to repel the creatures had completely failed. The first unit was planted in the centre of the lawn at one end where the mole activity was the worst. Within two days we saw no more hills at that end of the garden. Delighted, we purchased a second identical unit and placed this at the other end. Since then we have seen only one, small, mole hill in the entire garden. In three years. Could this be a coincidence? I don't think so. This device has worked for us, and very well indeed. The two units are now located at the far edge of the garden in the border flower beds (out of the way of the lawn mower, obviously!!), buzzing away and maintenance free.
I was reluctant to use any type of bait/poison so the device type solution was the most attractive. I read the simple instructions, put the 2 piece assembly together and placed the 2 devices into the ground. It worked, within a week, the moles were gone and didn't pop up in my neighbors yards.
We have a huge yard with lots if moles, so we are always having to deal with all kinds of mounds. Since I've put these repellers in the ground, there haven't been any mounds in the area of their placement. These solar mole repellers are doing a good job of keeping the moles away. They make a buzzing sound every thirty seconds, and it says that the sound is emitted approximately 60 feet.
I bought three of these about 3 months ago. We have used them on many occasions and who knows if they have done any good, but the moles appear to have left our garden every time. If they seemingly stop working, I'll update the review. I have had to unscrew them and change the batteries twice. After leaving them in the garden for 2 weeks, one of three has died and I'm ordering a replacement now.
